One of my new obsessions

So, I'm really getting into the idea of using illustration (and graphics) to solve problems and communicate more effectively at work. I first got to thinking about it after seeing "Back of the Napkin" by Dan Roam and realized that I've been doing this (in my own doodle-ific way) for a long time, but without any real strategy or structured approach. Then, a coworker sent me this video, which is an awesome (albeit unrealistic, in real-time) example of how images can be used to effectively communicate the points of a business talk. Enjoy.

I love this kind of project...

Tammy and I did the banner for the Belgrade Youth Rally - here's the illustrator concept, I'll put up a picture of how it turned out when I get one taken. Mostly, I'm just hoping it makes it through the weekend without part or all of it crashing down (it's all suspended, mostly held together with tape). Tammy is so awesome, she helped out with all of the cutting (while taking care of the boys) and didn't mind that this project took up all of our weeknights this week.
